form and function for heat recruitment
23rd Apr 2008 (15:15:12) by Robin

Beaver Group recently completed an update to the Heat Recruitment website. In updating the look and feel of the site, Beaver Group was able to add some innovative functionality as well.
By integrating into Heat Recruitment’s own network, the website can automatically display new content – reducing the need for additional re-entry of data. With this, an RSS feed was built into the site allowing a prospective candidate to select the types of jobs they are interested in. The RSS feed will then deliver, direct to their reader (Internet Explorer for example), any new jobs that become available.
Candidates are also able to create their own login profile, onto which they can upload a CV. With this profile, they can keep track of jobs they have applied for and be emailed about any new ones that are listed.
Another feature that was built for the site was iTemps. This section of the website allows any temp worker to fill in their timesheet online. Their manager is then able to log in and validate the timesheet, all through iTemps. This saves the need for posting or faxing timesheets and reduces the processing time for Heat Recruitment
The work and functionality that was put into the Heat Recruitment website means that there is less need to micro-manage the vacancy and application procedure. Jobs can be uploaded, searches done and temps looked after, all through an integrated and easy-to-use website.

digital menuboard for camden primary care trust
17th Apr 2008 (09:44:49) by Peter

Beaver Solutions have provided St. Pancras Hospital, managed by the Camden Primary Care Trust, with a portrait-mounted digital menuboard for their newly re-furbished restaurant. A second digital signage screen has been installed to provide news from sources such as the BBC, healthy eating advice and hospital news.
The menuboard uses a traffic light system to indicate the levels of fats, saturates, sugar and salt so visitors to the restaurant are able to make better informed decisions about the food they buy. These traffic light symbols are content managed along with the menu items, allowing the hospital to make quick and simple changes to all aspects of the menuboard.

Beaver Group has partnered with Panasonic and BBG to deliver a prestigious digital signage solution to RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) in Portland Place, London. The solution uses Panasonic's flagship 103" plasma display, embedded in a wall, to inform members and visitors of new events and sponsor's messages . The solution will shortly expand to include wayfinding around the building, using Panasonic professional displays.
The solution uses Scala InfoChannel 5 to show content designed by Beaver Design, the content division of Beaver Group. The system is remotely managed and supported by Beaver Solutions.
