Following our own motto of a “Design for 2009”, we have recently created a new website for Beaver Design. Beaver Design, part of the Beaver Group, specialises in web and graphic design and has been in business since 1978.
Take a look at the website! - www.beaver-design.com
The site is aimed specifically at our graphic and web design work, providing a jargon free site for our clients and any new customers.
With a stylish look and contemporary web design, the new Beaver Design site is very easy to navigate with lots of information. For graphic design and print, as well as web design and how to get more from the web, beaver-design.com has all you’ll need.
better digital signage at the BETT show
20th Jan 2009 (12:54:34) by Peter

Last week, Beaver Solutions attended the BETT Show in partnership with A2Z Computers. It was a very well attended show and the quality of visitors was very high. Despite the current economic situation, 2009 looks like it will be a busy year for digital signage in education and beyond.
One of the interesting things to come out from talking to the visitors, was that those who have deployed digital signage and use stand-alone systems in their school are not finding the systems to be nearly as useable as they had hoped.
Schools are experiencing a range of issues with these stand-alone installations: Can’t update except when sat at the machine, no live data, no integration with existing systems and difficulty in expanding the system, lack of support and changes to content. In short, visitors told us whilst their stand-alone systems were perceived to be a simple and quick solution, the school actually needed something more versatile and professional, which was considered and built to fit their specific need.
Beaver Solutions partnered with A2Z Computers, a specialist in educational IT, and showed an integrated system using Scala5, delivering content from live data sources and updateable using a web-based application. This tool allows content to be managed from any location which is connected to the internet and the system can also be expanded without duplicating effort.

signature digital menus ltd - new venture for beaver
6th Jan 2009 (12:21:12) by Robin
HERTFORDSHIRE, UK - Signature Digital Menus Ltd is a company dedicated to the provision of digital menu boards for the Quick Service Restaurant industry and other food outlet businesses. Signature Digital Menus Ltd was recently formed by the Directors of Beaver Solutions, Peter Critchley and Barry Thurston, who have started this new venture with food industry expert Tony Ingles.
Tony Ingles is the former Managing Director of Dan Display, a company which specialised in modular menu systems. Through working closely with the QSR industry, Tony has gained invaluable unique experience of the operational, financial and practical requirements of a menu board system.
Signature Digital Menus Ltd is a new venture for Beaver Solutions and Tony Ingles. It combines the experience and skills of digital signage specialists Beaver Solutions, with the knowledge and expertise of Tony Ingles. Signature is formally supported by Sanyo, Scala, Vogels and Matrox, who have all come together with the Signature Digital Menus Ltd brand to offer a ‘one-stop’ complete digital menu board solution.
“By starting Signature Digital Menus with Tony Ingles, we’ve created a company that has the complete solution when it comes to digital menu boards. The benefits are clear: quick pricing changes, better product promotion and the flexibility to change to any occurrence. We have the support of the leading suppliers in the industry and with Tony’s experience, as well as our expertise in digital signage, Signature Digital Menus has a unique, full turn-key offering.” – Barry Thurston, Director Signature Digital Menus Ltd and Group Chairman of Beaver Solutions
The provision of digital menu boards is nothing new. But what Signature Digital Menus Ltd has done is to join together with the leading suppliers and providers, to offer a complete solution as one brand.
“We have found that clients of digital menus don’t want to have to mix and match with the services they get. By having all the components of a complete digital menu board solution under one roof, Signature Digital Menus Ltd can offer clients one complete package.” – Peter Critchley, Director of Signature Digital Menus Ltd and Managing Director of Beaver Solutions
From photography, to content design, to hardware and installation, Signature Digital Menus has the support of all involved to give our clients a fully comprehensive and beneficial digital menu board system.
News, images and videos are available on the Signature Digital Menus Ltd website and will be added to regularly. Visit the site or give us a call to find out more about us and our provision of digital menu boards to the QSR industry.
