… doing and sharing what we love
Moustaches are not as popular as they used to be. I don’t know what happened; perhaps mustaches just aren't as cool as they used to be? Maybe the 1980’s ruined the look for us, maybe it’s just a cyclical trend that’ll come back – whatever it is, these days a moustachioed man is a rare thing.
That is, apart from in the month of November.
A few years ago, a group of people started an event called Movember (moustache + Novemeber = Movember). Taking part means that, as a man, you start the 1st November with a clean shaven face and then continue to keep it clean shaven for the month of November, except for growing a moustache. No beard, no shaving above your lip – just grow a moustache in November.
Through donations and sponsorship, Movember helps to raise money and awareness for men’s health, and last year they raised £48.5million with nearly 450,000 participants. The money goes towards prostate cancer charities and initiatives, which sounds like a good idea, we thought we’d do our part to help.
Donate - Support Our Moustaches
This year, some of the manly men at Beaver Group are taking part in Movember. We’re sacrificing the admiration of our partners to help raise money and awareness for men’s health. Moustaches aren’t our favourite facial hair style, but we’re willing to do it for charity!
Please donate to this worthy cause through one of our “Mo Space” pages – every penny really will make a difference:

Also, don't forget to keep an eye on our blog, Twitter and Facebook pages to see the progress of our moustaches in November! We’ll keep you updated on our progress, how the moustaches are looking and what we’ve raised (that part is down to you - so donate generously please!).
